New vases by Arik Levy for Verreum
The poetic form of the undulating surfaces of the vases from the Prague company Verreum reflects the broad spectrum of metallic pastel shades that stand in contrast to the sophisticated precision technology of glass silver plating, though naturalness and a certain fluidity rule between the two planes. Inspired by cascading water, the new “Waterfall” vases by Arik Levy cease to be ordinary functional objects and rather come alive in original sculptural works, gentle round forms dancing with the sounds of their elements, to which the author wisely adds: “Life is a system of signs and symbols where nothing is as it seems.”
