Czech crystal in Paris
Frantisek Vizner's (1936–2011) name has been one of the recognized and respected names in the artistic circles of the city over the Seine for quite a while now. One of the major contributions to this has been made by the Museum of Decorative Arts located in Louvre. Here, the permanent exhibition of the department of art of the 20th century, presented two of this Czech master's works – an opaline glass bowl with a peak in the middle and a crystal vase.
Moreover, the curator of the latest exhibition called „Treasures of sand and fire – crystal and glass from the 14th to the 21st century“ has included other Vizner's works into the current programme. A notable attention among them is attracted to a magnificent angular green dish with lifted edges.
The exhibition runs until November 15th, 2015, in the the Museum of Decorative Arts, 107, rue de Rivoli, 75001
