News from Verreum
Glass objects with silvering are a rarity now. Uniqueness of items is the main guideline for Praguekabinet when it comes to choosing objects for our collection. Therefore, we are very pleased to become locally exclusive representatives of Verreum, a Czech brand well known abroad, a brand that actually specializes on the production of glass objects with silvering.
An amazing ancient technology owned by this brand takes on new dimensions and opens previously unknown opportunities through collaboration with successful designers such as Rony Plesl, Arik Levy and Sebastian Bergne. The new Art director of the company, Sebastian Gerkner, who stepped into this role in 2015, initiated close cooperation with artists. Their debut collections were presented by Verreum at the Parisian Maison & Objet fair and during Design Week in Milan too.
Sasha Valkhof, who happened to work for such brands as Christian Lacroix, has now created a charming series called Reverso. It attracts attention by its gentle tones and playful versatility as the items within this series can serve as vases or glasses as well as candlesticks. Luca Nichetto, an Italian designer, has created luxurious, eye pleasing tables called BonBon. Those look like candies wrapped in a shiny cellophane.
